In my last post I said I was going to replace my drainage lines under my home cut some firewood and work on the site well I did one.
History, a few months ago I asked a friend of mine who is a plumber by trade, we work out in the same gym, about what it would cost to redo my drainage lines under my home. You know bath, toilet, sinks, etc. what these drain into to either go to a sewer line or septic tank. He said about 5,000.00 and so I that was that. Our home is 25 years old we have owned it for 16 years and it was time to redo a bathroom, this is waht sparked this intrest.
That said a couple weeks ago I crawled around under the house figured it was nothing to it and decided this weekend to take care this small plumbing job. I will say right now this was the hardest job I have ever done in my life.
I figured I could patch here and there, wrong the lines were cast iron and 3/4 full of whatever you want to call it. I had to tear everything out drag it to this small hole crawl out and drag these stinking pipes out.
Three days latter and about 50 hours and I am done. I hurt everywhere, my knees are swollen, my elbows are swollen, my back, arms, legs, side, neck all hurt, my fingers and raw and stiff.
Needless to say I did nothing but plumb all Labor Day weekend and know now plumbing is a tough job.
Plumbers my hat is off to you.
