Training day 17

Completed the run twice up The Hill and did one set of 19 push ups. My back is really sore and doing the push ups really made it tough. I feel the run was enough as my back was hurting pretty good and feel good even completing it. I can tell my legs are really feeling it now as I did pick up the pace some.

I have started cutting back on my calories and man it is tough. Had a chicken salad sandwich today for lunch. I usually eat 2 or 3 of them.

My meals for the day are going like this.

Bowl of cereal for breakfast with all my proteins in it.---500 calories
shot of protein in water for snack --200 calories
lunch a sandwich---300 calories
shot of protein--200 calories
supper smaller portions--600 calories
protein mixture in milk for bed--400 calories
Total now --------------------2200 were I had been doing close to 5000 so this is a big drop in food intake.

I will be careful as to watch my weight as I don't want to lose the weight to fast and yet I want a steady drop in my weight.

I was kicked outta my gym last week cuz we made a deal at our store with another gym and they don't open till August.

Strange thing the gym we were booted from was offered the change first and they turned down. Then they hear we have the other gyms material in our store so they send a kind see if we will put there stuff up as well. We turned them down and the owner gets so ticked she calls both our home and store telling us we are banned better not ever set foot in their gym and on and on.

I guess they wanted us to advertise for them yet they didn't want to do a thing for us in return. This was a bad temper tantrum from the owner that was not thought out but acted upon with a lack of any judgment.

Oh well it will be 24 hour fitness for me so my weight training will be put off till they complete the construction.
Have a Blessed Day

Day 15 and 16

day 15 was a tough one I guess the leap frog in the church and the 2 timer on the hill my legs were in that hobble wobble stage. I did the hill 2 times but it sure was harder than Monday. Did 19 pushups and maxed out on 17 the next time. So all in all it was a good workout.

I have started going back to my back pain chiropractor as my lower back has started acting up again. I beleive it is because sitting all day and sometimes my posture is not so good. I am sway back as well so this may cause the spin to get a little outta wack.

Day 16 today rested and went to Mark's office for another adjustment. Will hit the Hill again tomorrow morning.
God Bless

Training Day 12 and 13

Training day 12 Saturday was a good one made the hill and did 15 pushups without to much trouble. Cannon Ball my dog that runs with me in the morning is my biggest problem. Every time I drop to do push ups he gets right under me to give me a big ole dog kiss. His head is hard and I am hollering no every time I do push up. If anybody ever watches me they go sure wonder what is going on there.
I changed my cars plugs, distributor cap, spark plug wires, oil, ari filter, and rotator cap as it was back firing. I really didn't want to have to take it to dealer to get it fixed as it would have most likely been a couple hundred. Anyway that fixed the issue so I am glad. Rest of the day grass, bush hogged the field and trimmed around the buildings.

We are in Arkansas Texas and with the rain we have been getting the grass is growing like crazy. Some of the stuff was 3 feet high and it only has been couple weeks since I cut the stuff. Anyway about 4:30 I was done took a shower and worked on my site. Still changing pages I am in articles so only about 100 more pages to change.

Sunday Today was a rest day from running. A couple weeks ago I asked one of my pastors, he was a pro football player for the Chicago Bears we are the same age, some good strength training and speed exercises. He told me hopping like jumping forward as far as you could would help build leg strength and speed.

I am blessed to be the one that opens our Church and fix the chairs back with material, pens, envelops, and just keep the neat. Well the chairs that have the material are spaced out about 6 feet apart so I made this a training day by doing one legged squats at each chair I worked on and hopped to the next. There are probably 200 of these chairs so I did 80 or so one legged squats per leg and a hop on each leg. I wore blue jeans and a Joe Smoothie shirt and by the time I got done my shirt was soaked with sweat. Had to go outside to let the air dry me out. Anyway it was a good workout. I bet my Pastor John was thinking what is he doing now. He didn't ask and I didn't tell.

I finished cutting the yard changed oil in my tractor and small pickup. I am now doing some more article pages and thought I would get this in as when my babes wakes up I want to see if she wants to go fishing down at our small pond.

Day 14 tomorrow will be 2 weeks into the training and I will add "The Hill" a second time. We will see.
Have a Blessed Week All.

Training Day's 9, 10 and 11

Well I took Wednesday day 9 off as I worked on the site. I am moving the tables from a fixed width to a % width to fit all screen sizes. This adds some ease in viewing on bigger screens and no scrolling from side to side on smaller screens, so I worked from 4:30 till it was time to leave for work at 7.

Day 10 a dawned and I was determined to make the "Hill" I looked up at that looming monster I was already winded and just keep climbing to the top. I made it but I had dogs barking from a mile away I guess from the sound I was making "gasping for air". But I made it. I did 9 push ups on the hill and nine at the house so it was a good day. In a little over a week I have made the "Hill".

Today is Day 11 and I made the "Hill" again did 11 push ups on the top and this time at the house at the end a short sprint dropping to do another 11 push ups. It was all I could do to squeeze out 11 with the low oxygen levels my upper body was getting so it was a good workout.

I really feel refreshed, stronger, and more robost.

Here are supplements I am taken as of right now I do plan on adding some as I add more training to my program.

I mix my own protein as I want a multi blend and it is much cheaper if I mix it myself. I use the proteins I use for no specific reason just handy when I went to grabing.

I will list what I take now and the reason I take it in another post. Optimum Nutrition Egg, Optimum Nutrition Casen, EAS 100% Whey, Protein Mixture, SynTrax Glutamine, Now Foods Colostrum, Solaray Spectro 3 Multi Vitamin, Life Time Joint Support, KAL Ultra Omega 3-6-9, Kal Vitamin D, ISS Research PromintoPlus hGh, Now Foods ZMA, and BSN Nitrix.

I think this is all I can think of and as I said I will state why I take them soon.

Everyone be careful Train Hard, and have a Blessed Weekend.

Training Day 8 was a good one

I ran most of the way up the big hill. Part of the run I do is on my neighbors properity up his driveway. This part of the run is about a 1000 feet all of it uphill but at about the 600ft it takes a much steeper incline and is a really a killer. I have been making it to what I call "The Tree". The tree is at the beginning of the steeper incline but today I made it past the tree and up the steeper incline almost 1/2 before going into a power walk. I really feel I will be making it up the hill by the end of this week.
Did 7 push ups 2 times during the run and plan on doing increasing them by 2 till I max out then continue to max out and try to increase them daily.
Tomorrow is rest day from running so I think I will go in the gym for some light weights.
Have a Blessed day all.

Day 6 and 7 on the Training

I messed up on the day4 posting should have been 5 .
Day 6 was Sunday worshiped the Lord and rested most of the day.

Day 7 is today I had a good run I seem to be getting better and started doing 2 sets of push ups during the run. Not pushing them just doing 5 as I am still pretty winded and want to get the muscles use to working with less oxygen. Doing some shadow boxing as well. Not much of a pick up but this is only the first day of the second week so as I said I am going to do this the correct way to try and avoid injuries.

I will begin weights in a couple weeks as I have a friend that needs to lose 40 or more pounds and will do well with the high reps low weightI will be doing.

Freedom is Possible Jesus is the way.

Day 4 Good Run

The rest was a good one as I didn't do the Hobble Wobble this morning. I have to be careful as the old Marine in me tries to kick in and I try to push myself to hard. I have a long road ahead of me with time to really push myself after my body is conditioned to do so.

My plan is to continue the cardio for this month and start mixing in some pushup, pullups, situps and other forms of strength training to build long muscle fibers. I will as well begin some speed exercises most likely at the end of the day to add some extra calorie burn in the mix.

I did my first weight check yesterday really doen't mean much to me but I dropped 5lbs as anybody can drop 5 lbs just by cutting back on carbs.

Everybody have a Blessed Weekend.

Morning cardo went well

This morning was a good cardio as I didn't have to do the hobble wobble. The rest was a good as I wasn't sore and the run was a good one. Got to the base of the big incline before power walk. I need to remember it has been 20 years since I ran and need to be smart in the training. I think that ole Marine in me comes out and I try to push myself to hhard. That will come in about 5 months I will become an animal in my workouts and push myself beyond my limits if I plan on being competitive in this endevor.

My plan is 3 months of hard cardo mixed in with weight training and calastentics

Day 3 did the Hobble Wobble

Hobble wobble is what I call my early moring run right now as I am really sore and it is all I can do to get going in the morning.

Actually did a little better on the run. I got 3/4 up the hill before going into a power walk.

Started taking colostrum along with my protein in the moring and evening.

This has got the office into a weight loss frenzey as I need to lose 40 lbs There are some hefty heffers here needeed to do it as well so they are jumping in on the bandwagon. Lets see how long they will last as they were chowing down on a What a Bugers fries and cokes today talking about how they gonna do this and that....

Till tomorrow

Day 2 Training

Completed the 2nd day of training and lets just say it was more of a hobbel wobbel than anything. Legs were hurting this morning but I made it and actually did better this time than yesterday made it up 1/2 way running up the hill before going into power walk.

I will continue to do nothing but run this month. The way I have it figured if i can lose a pound a week I will be cool by fighting time with my weight. Found out the middle weight is 185 so I feel better on making the weight class.

Started my favorite protein mixture I make myself. 5lb whey, 2lb casein, 2lb egg, added glutamine, and creatine.

This really makes for a good all round protein taste great and can't beat the cost. Figure it like this Muscle Milk at 1/3 the cost. I will be adding colostrum to my protein as well as I need all the IGF I can get.

1st Day Training

1st day I am not dumb and have a big hill to climb. I am running for the 1st time in maybe 20 years and the first cardio I have done in 6 years.

I ran walked about 1/2 mile around the house and to our next door neighbors. They have 40 acres and a big hill with their drive to the top of the hill and I ran about a quarter way up and power walked to the top then ran back to the house.

This is called breaking in the engine. Not sure as to what supplements I am going to add to my daily intake but will post soon on my decision.

1st day under the belt felt good.
God Bless,

Decided Entering the Tough Man Contest

This morning I informed my wife I have pretty much decided to enter the next tough man contest here in Texarkana. This is not something I just decided to do I have been praying on this for 6-8 months and feel this is what God wants me to do.

Why God wants me to do this is a testimony to the power of Jesus as I was addicted just about everthing under the sun and living a hopeless life. I begged God for help as I was totally defeated and felt my life was over. See I told God if he would come help me "one more time" I would live my life as hard for him as I have for the devil.

God heard my call and answered me I am and have been free for 7 years of all addictions. I can truly say these last 7 years have been some of the best of my life. The best were when dad was alive see he died with I was 15 at the age of 54, so now God wants me to go fight and give my testimony at the age of 54.

Coincendence no I don't believe in that God yes he has a plan I must.

"Your Crazy" is what my wife said, I may be but I am free and feel this is something I must do.

I begin my training Monday July 9th and will begin posting my progress on the training I am undertaking on a daily basis. I right now weigh 225 and want to fight in the middle weight class so I need to lose 50 lbs and get my stamina and speed working.

It will be intresting to say the least and should make for some intresting reading.
God Bless
